Common Core Parent Informaion
California is one of 45 states nationwide to adopt the new Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in English/Language Arts and mathematics. This shift in teaching has been characterized by some as “the most significant change to classroom instruction since 1998,” when California first adopted its own academic standards. OUSD Nutrition Services
Did you know that we also have a smart phone app for the menu? You can search the app store for “School Lunch Nutrislice” and find the Nutrislice app. The app includes menus for each school, pictures of breakfast and lunch menu items, nutrition and allergen information, and the option to rate each food item out of 5 stars.

1. All visitors and volunteers on campus after the 8:55 a.m. bell must check-in at the office and wear a visitor badge. The gates will remain locked during school hours to ensure the safety of our students.
2. Our first Wednesday Accelerated Reader assembly is scheduled for September 3 at 12:50 p.m.
3. We are hosting a Weed and Feed on Friday, August 22 at 3:45 p.m. We hope you will join us as we prepare our garden for fall planting. Pizza will be provided for all volunteers.
4. The computer lab will be open before school starting Thursday, August 21 at 8:40 a.m.

Please take a moment to read the notes below for upcoming events and changes in school procedures.
