Common Core Parent Informaion

CommonCoreLogo-color2.jpgCalifornia is one of 45 states nationwide to adopt the new Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in English/Language Arts and mathematics.   This shift in teaching has been characterized by some as “the most significant change to classroom instruction since 1998,” when California first adopted its own academic standards.  Click the Common Core link above to learn more about the standards and how the Oceanside Unified School District is implementing Common Core in the classroom.

OUSD Nutrition Services

Did you know that we also have a smart phone app for the menu? You can search the app store for “School Lunch Nutrislice” and find the Nutrislice app. The app includes menus for each school, pictures of breakfast and lunch menu items, nutrition and allergen information, and the option to rate each food item out of 5 stars.

Welcome to the 2014-2015 School Year!

Dear Palmquist Families,

Thank you for visiting the Palmquist Elementary School website!  We are currently updating information that will assist you in planning for the 2014-2015 school year.  Please check back with us to view updates.

Our office is currently closed for summer break.  We will reopen for student registration on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Registration hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. August 6-15.  An automated telephone call reminding parents about on-line registration and school events/activities will be sent prior to the start of the school year.  If you are new to the district or have not yet completed the on-line registration, please read the information below. 

School begins Monday, August 18 at 8:55 a.m.

Visitor/Volunteer Reminder
