All OUSD parents and guardians are asked to please fill out the 2014 Federal Impact Aid Survey card. Survey cards will be sent home with students on Wednesday, October 1 and must be returned the following day, Thursday, October 2.
This important survey is used to determine the number of parents in our district who work or live on federal property. The federal government provides funds to the Oceanside Unified School District based on the results of this survey.
Examples of federal property include: all military bases (Camp Pendleton, MCRD, Miramar, etc.), Indian tribal lands (including casinos), immigration offices, homeland security offices, FBI buildings, farm land on federal property, border patrol offices and federal subsidized housing.

8 Keys of Excellence
This month we will be honoring members of the Palmquist learning community who demonstrate the Key of Excellence for September:
THIS IS IT!
This Is It! is about focusing on NOW instead of later, or next week, or next month, or next year, or yesterday - and making the most of it. A positive This Is It! attitude can make everything we do and every day productive, fulfilling, and fun! A positive outlook leads to positive learning.
BEST students strive to:
- Make the most of every moment.
- Choose a positive attitude.
- Do and learn those things they put their minds to.
SUCCESSFUL FALL WEED AND FEED
